The Journey

by Mary

Let me tell you of my journey in life, of places I have seen and people I have met! Of my sorrows and of my happiness. Of my lessons I have learned, I am but one life in this vast world. Hoping to make a mark on it. Let me help you through your journey, Maybe we can travel together? Each person that I meet, Touches my life and changes it! Little by little I change. Hoping it is for the best. Oh, where would I be having not met you! I would not know so many joys in life. My life would be not so fulfilled. Each person we meet we touch, And take part of them with us. It makes us who we are today.

Ethics cannot be based upon our obligations toward [people], but they are complete and natural only when we feel this Reverence for Life and the desire to have compassion for and to help all creatures insofar as it is in our power. I think that this ethic will become more and more recognized because of its great naturalness and because it is the foundation of a true humanism toward which we must strive if our culture is to become truly ethical.

Ethics, too, are nothing but reverence for life. This is what gives me the fundamental principle of morality, namely, that good consists in maintaining, promoting, and enhancing life, and that destroying, injuring, and limiting life are evil.

friends journey

Friendships don’t just happen.
Although one person may start a
friendship, both partners will need to
contribute to the building process.
You can initiate a friendship by
moving toward a prospective friend and
starting a conversation. You will
probably have very few friends if you
wait for them to come to you.

Remember that initial relationships
with others are generally a little
awkward. Allow yourself some time to
feel comfortable with the beginning of
a friendship–the initial awkwardness
is natural and will lessen as you get
to know each other.

Following are some tips to help you
get started making new friends.

***Involvement

Be where other people are. You can’t
make friends if you aren’t in the
situations where there are people.
Involvement entails both COMMUNICATION
and LISTENING. Share feelings, ideas,
opinions and activities, and listen –
listening to both the speaker’s words
and feelings conveys your interest.

***Send Friendly, Non-Shy Signals to
Others

It helps both you and them loosen up.
Try these suggestions from Dr. Arthur
Wasamar, author of Making Contact, a
system he calls SOFTEN. Soften breaks
down this way.

~Smile

It shows you’re friendly and would
enjoy the other person’s company.

~Open Your Posture

Uncross your arms and legs; you’ll
look more relaxed.

~Forward

Lean toward the person, or move closer
to show you’re attentive to what he or
she is saying.

~Touch

A hand on another person’s arm may be
a welcome gesture (make sure the other
person is open to this, that you don’t
touch too much, and you stop if the
person says no.)

~Eye Contact

This shows that you don’t want to miss
what’s being said.

~Nod

A nod communicates that you understand
what’s being said and you’re
interested in keeping the conversation
going.

Drop any discouragement you may feel
over your present location! The very
fact that you know there’s farther to
go before your journey to freedom is
complete also tells you that wherever
you may find yourself standing today –
or a thousand days from now — is
just a place you have to pass through
on your way to where you’re going. And
you’re going to be free! So agree to
put all discouraging places where they
belong: behind you!

Who you really are, your True Nature,
is no more tied to the kind of places
or person you’ve been than the wind is
tied to the skies through which it
moves. Your past, who and what you
once were, is just that: the past, a
place within your psyche with no more
reality to it than the picture of a
castle on a postcard is made from
stone.

It may not seem so at first, but your
new findings are a great start. Now
keep going. Use this list and your
discoveries to help you ignite your
wish to be free. Then step back and
welcome the spiritual firestorm. Watch
as it burns away the ties that bind.
This is what it means to let the Light
fight for you.

God

ran my life in search of worldly things;
My time and will were firmly in control.
I thought I had no need for what God brings;
I gave no heed to murmurs from my soul.“You’re planning, doing all the time,” it said,
“But something else is missing deep inside.
Your mind is whirling, but your heart is dead,
So turn to God and let go of your pride.”I did, and God said, “Here’s My plan for you:
Give your life to Me, and just let go.
Have faith and pray, and read the Bible through,
And you’ll have blessings more than you can know.”So simple, yet it brings me perfect peace,
Living life for God the way I should.
Direction, purpose, fullness and release—
Life with God is very, very good.

A prayer

Dear Lord, forgive our yielding to temptation;
Forgive our pride, our love of worldly things.
Have mercy on our love of sensual pleasure,
Compassion on the sins that self love brings.It must be hard to understand us sometimes;
So very different is your heart and mind.
But wait, I just remembered that you do know
What it’s like to be a part of humankind.You suffered just like we do, and you were tempted.
You lived with us so you could comprehend
The things that we go through each trying day,
So you could give us mercy, and be our friend.Thank you for compassion and forgiveness;
Thank you for your love and empathy.
Thank you, Lord, for coming down from heaven
To experience life’s trials, just like me.

Gods word

 When rage and fury overwhelm my heart,
It’s time to look to God’s own Holy Word.
I search the Bible for His good advice;
My will to His commands must be deferred.In Romans God reveals His love for me;
In all things God works only for my good;
He gives me blessings I can’t understand;
I’d be peaceful if I’d do the things I should.Jesus forgave so much; why then can’t I?
I want to mold my life after His own.
I pray, I try, but my sinful nature wins;
Lord, help me, I can’t do this thing alone.In Colossians, I read about the peace of Christ;
Oh, how I long to feel it in my heart.
All I have to do is to forgive,
But Lord, it seems I don’t know where to start.I need to walk a mile in the other’s shoes;
They’re doing what they think they have to do.
I know some problems are blessings in disguise,
But Lord, sometimes I feel so doggone blue.Ephesians says “forgive as the Lord forgave you;
Get rid of anger and every form of malice.”
I’d love to just let go and release it all,
But upon my heart is a wound that’s become a callus.I’ll keep praying, trying, Lord, no matter what;
I’m determined to let go and relinquish blame;
Some day, I’ll say, and be truly sincere:
“I forgive it all in Jesus’ precious name.”(Romans 8:28, Colossians 3:13, Ephesians 4:31)

red

Red Roses
symbolize
Love, Respect, Courage and Passion
In modern floral language, the red rose simply symbolizes true love. Giving a red rose to a loved one symbolizes both deep love and deep respect. The red rose is also a modern symbol of courage. Historically, however, the red rose has carried a variety of meanings in different cultures and societies - for example, the Romans associated the red rose with lustful passion.

The red rose is closely tied to the myth of Venus and Adonis, specifically having to do with the death of Adonis. According to some, the red rose originally sprung from the blood of Adonis. According to others, when Venus was weeping over the death of Adonis, her tears fell upon a white rose, turning it red, forever a symbol of her passion and her desire.

Ancient Christian symbolism associates the red rose with the blood of the Crucifiction. The red rose thus symbolizes martyrdom, charity and resurrection.

The red rose is sometimes seem as a symbolic representation of female sexuality, or female genitalia. The William Blake poem titled “The Sick Rose” that Taiki recites in episode 179 makes this allusion:

O Rose, thou art sick!
The invisible worm
That flies in the night,
In the howling storm,

Has found out thy bed
Of crimson joy:
And his dark secret love
Does thy life destroy.

Yes, the poem is about a red rose, and yes, the poem is also about… Well, you know.

In ancient Persian mythology, the red rose symbolized egocentricity. According to legend, a nightingale stabbed itself in its breast, and blood from the wound fell upon a white rose, turning it forever red. The red rose became a symbol of the bird’s self-centered, arrogant nature.

Swinging back to the twenty-first century for a moment . . . Many European socialist parties (such as the British Labour Party) use the red rose as their political emblem.

Finally, the red rose is also a symbol of the sun, which fits with Seiya’s astrological sign (Leo) and the theory that he represents the sun in the Shinto San Hikari.

A dental hygienist is a licensed dental auxiliary who specializes in preventive dental care, typically but not limited to focusing on techniques in oral hygiene. Local dental regulations determine the duties hygienists are able to perform. In most jurisdictions, hygienists work for a dentist, and are licensed to administer restricted techniques of local anesthesia. Also radiographs, sealants, scaling, root planing and cleaning are common procedures performed by dental hygienists.

In some areas, the dental regulations include extended duties and exemptions for dental hygienists. Some hygienists are allowed to practice without dentist supervision, use restricted bleaching techniques, and in some areas are even allowed to restore teeth using restricted classes of fillings.

The dental hygiene process of care has five steps:

* Assessment: Gathering data!
* Dental hygiene diagnosis: Interpreting the data into a coherent description of a client’s condition in terms that can be addressed by a dental hygienist.
* Planning: Determining the techniques that will solve the problems indicated in the dental hygiene diagnosis and the order in which those techniques will be applied.
* Implementation: Carrying out the plan.
* Evaluation: Determining the effectiveness of the work that was performed.

Over a period of months or years a dental hygienist may have evaluated his or her work several times, altering the diagnosis and plan numerous times as the client’s condition changes.

To my friend

 always remember the time we’d met,
the days we’ve been together,
the beautiful places we’ve seen each other,
Indeed,spending my time w/you is what i never forget.

I’ll never forget that day,
when we,ve talked at the bay;
Like the sunset w/c slowly tells goodbye,
we’ve made a promise until we die.

You embrace me so tight,
then,you whispered some words so cold,
You’re afraid to let me go & to stay w/you is what you told;
I smiled at you like a star so bright,
i’ll promise to you my friend,
i’m always here ’till the end.

I’m glad to have a friend like you,
the most special someone that i’ll always secure;
To my friend,w/c is my precious treasure,
even in the next life,i wish i have someone like you.
